Nature is with Me; I am Environmentally Literate Everywhere

        The “4004 Nature Education and Science Schools Support Program” is one of the National Support Programs of TUBITAK, which aims to bring scientific knowledge together with the society and to disseminate it, to provide information in a comprehensible way by visualizing it as much as possible with interactive applications, and to encourage the participants' sense of curiosity, research, questioning and desire to learn by making them aware of scientific phenomena.

​ ​       The project titled “Nature is with Me; I am Environmentally Literate Everywhere”, which was submitted to TUBITAK by Dr. Adem Yulu, a faculty member of Iğdır University Geography Department, was first supported within the scope of “TUBITAK 4004 Nature Education and Science Schools Support Program” in 2021. Due to the efficient completion of the project and the sustainability of its widespread impact, it was entitled to be supported by TÜBİTAK again in 2022. The target audience of this nature education-based project consists of undergraduate students in different provinces of Turkey. “Nature is with Me; I am Environmentally Literate Everywhere” project has been accepted by TUBITAK in 2024.       ​The 2237-A Scientific Training Activities Support program is one of the National Support Programs of TÜBİTAK, which aims to provide information about developments and studies that will contribute to science in national and international fields, to create an infrastructure for interdisciplinary joint scientific studies by bringing together trainers and participants from different disciplines, to guide the work of the participants, to contribute to their scientific development, and to address educational issues in a multi-dimensional and in-depth manner.

​ ​ In this context, the scientific training activity named “Ethnographic Approach in Social Sciences”, the main theme of which is ethnographic method, was submitted to TÜBİTAK by Iğdır University Ağrı Mountain Application and Research Center in the 1st semester of 2024 and the project was accepted. The scientific training activities, which will be held theoretically and practically on Mount Ararat and its immediate surroundings, were held in Iğdır between August 19-22, 2024.
